Imperial Companies in Davenport, IA is seeking a Service Technician for full-time work Monday through Friday with a rotating schedule to cover weekend service calls. We offer on-the-job training and opportunities in maintenance, repair, refrigeration, and HVAC related tasks at client locations.

You will diagnose and repair vending and coffee equipment, install and remove equipment, refurbish units, and manage parts and inventory. A valid license and safe driving record are required.

Qualifications

• A good driving record as deemed by the insurance carrier.
• Basic mechanical aptitude is required.
• Must work well with people, be able to collaborate with others and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose and repair vending, coffee, coolers, etc. at client locations.
• Install and remove equipment from client sites.
• Refurbish and restore equipment and respond to dispatch calls.
• Inspect machines, replace worn parts and test operation after repairs.
• Manage inventory, order parts, and assist in installations/removals.
• Operate the company vehicle safely and maintain a clean work environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• We will Train! Experience is great in the following areas: Maintenance, repair, technician, refrigeration, HVAC, etc. But again - Not necessary - We will train.


• Maintain, diagnose and repair company equipment: vending, coffee, coolers, etc located at our client locations.


• Installation and removal of company equipment from client locations.


• Refurbish and restore company equipment.


• Responds to dispatch calls for machine repairs using company-owned vehicle.


• Visually inspects and listens to machines to locate causes of malfunctions, dismantles machines to gain access to problem area, and completes repairs.


• Inspects parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems, removes and replaces worn or defective parts, repairs broken parts, realigns and adjust components, tests machine operation following repair.


• Reviews inventory and orders parts, ships and receives machines and maintains equipment inventory.


• Prepares machines for installation at accounts, assists in installations and removals.


• Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools (e.g., drills, grinders welding torches) for machine repair.


• Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.


• Operate company-provided vehicle in a professional manner, following all safety procedures.


• Other duties may be assigned.


• This is a full time job Monday thru Friday, a rotational schedule to cover weekend service calls.
