DAV provides FREE transportation from the veteran's home to the VA hospital for examinations and treatment, then back home. Please call the Transportation Coordinator at (253) 583-1343 at least a week before the appointment to get on the schedule for pickup. Drivers are all volunteers and they cannot answer questions about medical issues or VA claims. Drivers can provide contact information for DAV Service Officers and DAV.

Disabled American Veterans - DAV - South Sound provides veterans, their survivors, and dependents with FREE help in making VA claims for benefits. This service is FREE. All donations to any branch of DAV are tax-deductible as charitable contributions under section 170(c)(3) of the IRS code, and 100% of all donations are spent on providing free service to veterans and families. DAV members and our families volunteer thousands of hours of service nationwide, helping with VA claims, providing transportation to VA medical appointments, and helping service members transition out of the military.
