Job summary

rabbittransit is hiring a Paratransit operator based in Harrisburg, PA. The role focuses on safe, courteous passenger transport with daily vehicle inspections and passenger assistance. You will communicate with dispatch and maintain driving records while supporting the community needs during weekday hours.

Open availability is required within Paratransit operating hours (4 AM–7:30 PM). The company offers a full benefits package, and initial wages start at $17.55/hr with progression to higher

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (regular DL) is required.
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday with no weekends and availability during Paratransit hours (4 AM–7:30 PM).

Responsibilities

• Safely and courteously transport passengers to required destinations.
• Assist passengers with wheelchairs or mobility devices and ensure proper securing.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driving records.
• Communicate with dispatch and report to Site Manager/Operations Supervisor as needed.

Vehicle Pick Up/Drop Off Location: 901 N. Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA

Paid Bi-Weekly

• $17.55/hr at time of hire, $19.50/hr after successful completion of the 90-day training and probationary period w/ regular DL
• $19.19/hr at time of hire, $21.32/hr after successful completion of the 90-day training and probationary period w/ CDL class A or B, with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake Restriction lifted

Schedule: NO weekends! Monday - Friday Schedule. Note: Position requires open availability during all Paratransit operating hours which are: Monday thru Friday 4 AM thru 7:30 PM.
