Job summary

The DataOps / Platform Engineer at University of Vermont Health Network is responsible for the overall operational health, reliability, backup and archiving, and strategic planning of UVM Health’s enterprise analytics data platform.

This role ensures that the Microsoft Fabric environment and related data infrastructure is stable, well-monitored, appropriately backed up, and optimized for the needs of a growing analytics organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in CS/IS/Data Engineering or related field.
4+ years in data platform operations, DataOps, or cloud infra roles.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data platforms.
Experience designing backup, archiving and disaster recovery.
Familiar with job scheduling, monitoring and alerting tools.
Agile product delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure operational health, reliability and backups for the analytics data platform.
Own archiving, DR processes and platform monitoring to keep services stable.
Plan strategic improvements and capacity for enterprise analytics data platforms.
Lead onboarding of new data sources with stakeholders and data engineers.
