Job summary

Geotab in the United States is seeking a DataOps Developer Intern to contribute to enterprise data services and analytics initiatives. You will help build data pipelines using Python and Airflow, collaborating with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to deliver scalable solutions.

You will gain hands-on experience with SQL, BigQuery, and data workflows while working in a hybrid environment with a structured onboarding program and a paid internship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in CS/EE or related field.
• Strong Python programming experience.
• Hands-on SQL and query writing.
• Experience with Google BigQuery is nice to have.
• Experience with Apache Airflow is nice to have.
• Experience with database design and queries is nice to have.
• Excellent knowledge of advanced SQL with large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Perform software development and support of Airflow pipelines in Python, using SQL.
• Understand performance impact of code, API usage, and scalability.
• Participate in design discussions and document requirements and technical design.
• Perform quality assurance analysis by ensuring coding standards and debugging.
• Analyze log files and performance data to troubleshoot root causes.
