Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM is currently recruiting for Data Center Specialists to join the Cloud team.

1. Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision Intel and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) servers
2. Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment
3. Troubleshoot, test, quality assurance of server hardware
4. Professionally resolve hardware issues via trouble ticket

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

1. Must be able to work in this country without company sponsorship
2. Must be fluent in English
3. Must be willing to learn quickly, multi-task, and work in a fast pace environment
4. Moderate knowledge of PC hardware concepts and component installation
5. Basic knowledge of various internet-related services and software (mail, web, DNS, etc.)
6. General understanding of computer networking concepts
7. Customer focused attitude with some previous customer service experience
8. Network wiring/cabling experience a plus

Required Education

High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Education

Associate's Degree/College Diploma

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

1. 3-5 years’ experience with Windows and Linux Platforms
2. 3-5 years’ experience with computer/server hardware
