Datacap Specialist - Remote
Project Overview:
This role supports the HFS Scan, Store, and Retrieve Project, focused on deploying IBM DataCap within the DOIT environment to enable seamless document capture. The consultant will also provide hands-on guidance and training to HFS personnel as they adopt document scanning processes across multiple locations. The documents captured will be stored and managed via IBM FileNet on the IBM Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the implementation and configuration of IBM DataCap within the DOIT environment.
- Provide technical and user-level guidance to HFS teams for onsite document scanning workflows.
- Integrate DataCap workflows with IBM FileNet P8 for cloud-based document storage and retrieval.
- Assist with design and development of custom actions or scripts if needed (e.g., OCR tuning, data extraction).
- Troubleshoot scanning workflows and support user adoption during the initial rollout.
- Document technical setup, workflow logic, and training materials.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and provide regular progress updates.
Required Skills & Experience:- Proven expertise in IBM DataCap design, deployment, and optimization.
- Familiarity with IBM FileNet P8, IBM Content Navigator, and IBM Cloud integration.
- Experience working with government or healthcare sector clients preferred.
- Strong communication skills to support both technical setup and end-user training.
- Ability to work independently and liaise with multiple functional teams.
