Job summary

TechStar Group in Plano, TX is seeking an experienced Databricks specialist to support and administer the Databricks platform, optimize notebooks, clusters, jobs, and SQL Warehouses, and troubleshoot Spark jobs in a cloud-native SaaS environment.

The role requires SQL fluency, exposure to Azure/AWS/GCP, and familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, and Azure Monitor; Linux CLI skills and ITIL familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Databricks platform administration and support.
• Experience with Databricks notebooks, clusters, jobs and SQL warehouses.
• Troubleshooting Spark job failures in distributed environments.
• SQL proficiency for investigating customer issues.
• Cloud exposure on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools: Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, Azure Monitor.
• Networking fundamentals, authentication and identity management.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and CLI troubleshooting.
• Experience with SaaS or cloud-native applications.
• ITIL Foundation familiarity or ITSM processes is a plus.
