Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in data engineering/architecture or software development, with 3+ years designing Databricks solutions.
• Hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL; Scala a plus.
• Deep knowledge of Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Lakeflow, Databricks SQL, and Unity Catalog.
• Experience with at least one major cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and its data services, networking, and security model.
• Proven experience leading large client-driven implementations, including pre-sales and proposals.
• Experience with streaming/messaging tools like Kafka, Event Hubs, Kinesis, or Flink.
• Knowledge of design patterns, CI/CD, Terraform, and Databricks Asset Bundles.
• Working knowledge of AI on Databricks (Mosaic AI, Agent Bricks, MLflow).
• Strong communication/consulting skills; fluent English (B2+).
• Authorization to work in the US or Canada.

Aufgaben

• Design end-to-end Lakehouse architectures on Databricks (cloud-agnostic or cloud-specific).
• Lead discovery and architecture workshops with clients and engineering teams.
• Partner with sales to shape solutions, proposals, and estimates; support POCs.
• Define target architectures and migration paths to Databricks.
• Architect governance with Unity Catalog, including access control and compliance.
• Design AI solutions (RAG, agentic workflows, MLOps) on Databricks.
• Guide delivery teams through build, go-live, and optimization phases.
• Conduct performance tuning and FinOps reviews for Databricks workloads.
