Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a data engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for mission-critical workflows, using Databricks, Python, PySpark and SQL.

You will collaborate with government stakeholders, ensure reliability and observability of production data systems, and contribute to data modeling, orchestration, and quality frameworks. Travel up to 10% and the ability to obtain Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Strong skills in Python, PySpark and SQL.
• Experience building production-grade data pipelines in cloud environments.
• Databricks experience is mandatory.
• Ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines for mission-critical workflows.
• Implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, quality, and sustainment.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and deliver reliable data engineering solutions.
• Ensure long-term reliability, observability, and performance of production data systems.
• Develop and operate solutions within Databricks.
• Produce documentation, diagrams, data models, and sustainment procedures.
• Support troubleshooting, optimization, and enhancements to production systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical and mission teams to align outputs with program goals.
