Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a data engineering professional to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics workflows in a government-focused environment. The role requires Databricks expertise, strong Python, PySpark, and SQL skills, and experience with cloud-native data architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Strong skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines in cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines supporting mission critical workflows.
• Implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, quality, and sustainment.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reliable, maintainable data engineering solutions.
• Ensure long-term reliability, observability, and performance of production data systems.
• Develop and operate solutions within Databricks (mandatory), consistent with mission platform operations.
• Produce documentation, diagrams, data models, and sustainment procedures.
• Support troubleshooting, optimization, and enhancements to production systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical and mission teams to align engineering outputs with program goals.
