EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Databricks Solution Architect to design governed data, analytics and AI platforms on Databricks for enterprise clients in North America. You will collaborate with pre-sales to shape solutions, estimates and proposals, and guide delivery teams through deployment and optimization.

You will lead architecture workshops, define migration paths, and ensure security and governance with Unity Catalog while driving AI deployments and FinOps reviews at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or software development with 3+ years on Databricks.
• Hands-on Python and SQL; Scala a plus.
• Deep knowledge of Spark, Delta Lake, Lakeflow, Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog.
• Experience with Azure/AWS/GCP and their data services, networking, security.
• Proven leadership in large client projects including pre-sales and proposals.
• Experience with Kafka, Event Hubs, Kinesis, or Flink.
• Familiar with CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), and Databricks Asset Bundles.
• Knowledge of AI on Databricks (Mosaic AI, Agent Bricks, MLflow).
• Strong communication; fluent English (B2+).
• US or Canada work authorization.

Responsabilités

• Design end-to-end Lakehouse architectures on Databricks (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Lead discovery workshops with client executives and engineering teams.
• Partner with sales and Databricks field team to shape solutions, RFPs, and proposals.
• Define target architectures and migration paths to Databricks.
• Architect governance with Unity Catalog, access control, lineage, data sharing, security.
• Design AI solutions (RAG, agentic workflows, Model Serving, Vector Search, MLOps).
• Guide delivery teams through build, go-live, and reviews of architectures.
• Run performance tuning, optimization, and FinOps reviews for Spark and Databricks SQL workloads.
