Job summary

HYTORC seeks a BI/Data Engineer to support analytics and reporting platforms. You will work with Databricks Lakehouse, build ingestion pipelines, and develop operational reports and dashboards using SSRS and Sigma.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders in a small team, maintain star schemas, and optimize queries across Bronze-Silver-Gold data layers, with focus on governance and cost efficiency. 3+ years enterprise Databricks experience required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years enterprise-scale development on Databricks Lakehouse or similar platform.
• Knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business (Accounting) and/or Information Systems.
• Ability to design and build insightful reports and dashboards.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Self-motivated and driven to succeed in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Databricks ingestion pipelines.
• Support Bronze, Silver and Gold layer transformations.
• Monitor Databricks scheduled jobs and resolve failed pipelines.
• Support creation of star schema and maintain fact/dimension/bridge tables.
• Ensure adherence to data governance standards and Unity Catalog initiatives.
• Document lineage and transformation logic.
• Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server queries and views.
• Create and maintain operational reports and dashboards in SSRS and Sigma.
• Recommend improvements to reduce load times and storage costs.
