Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Database Lead in Philadelphia to own the Oracle SQL pipelines powering daily trading data. You’ll transform inbound cash position files into clean, reliable data for downstream systems and troubleshoot issues before the market opens.
You’ll own end-to-end data workflows with an on-site, early-morning cadence around 7am, collaborating with middle-office and technology partners to ensure accuracy, performance, and timely delivery every morning.
Philadelphia, PA | On-Site
You’re the person who actually makes the data show up where it needs to be, when it needs to be there. This role puts you at the heart of a mission-critical, early-morning process that the firm relies on every single day.
You’ll own the Oracle SQL pipelines that ingest and transform external cash position files at the start of the day, turning messy, imperfect inputs into clean, reliable data for downstream systems.
When files arrive malformed or processes wobble, you’re the calm in the storm-diving into data, fixing issues in real time, and getting everything back on track.
This is impact you can feel before 9am.
If you live in Oracle SQL and love owning high-stakes data workflows, we should talk.
You’ll sit on a middle-office data team focused on inbound clearing and cash positions.
Core tools and concepts include Oracle SQL as your primary language, plus data transformation, file ingestion/ETL, and reconciliation work. Python and financial operations concepts (cash, positions, settlements, clearing) are helpful extras.
The core challenge: keep a complex, time-sensitive Oracle data process accurate, resilient, and on time-every morning.
You’ve been the go‑to Oracle SQL developer for a daily or time-sensitive data process—someone who doesn’t just write queries, but owns the flow end to end. You’re used to taking raw files, making sense of them, and getting them into shape for systems that can’t afford to be wrong or late.
You’re steady when things break at inconvenient times, you communicate clearly with operations and tech partners, and you like the satisfaction of knowing your work is foundational to the day’s business.
This isn’t another back‑office report‑writing role—you’re on the hook for a real, daily process that the business feels immediately if it’s not right.
You’ll work close to the data and close to the people who rely on it, with a clear line between your work and the firm’s ability to operate each day.
There’s an immediate opening on the team and a second seat expected soon, so strong candidates who aren’t selected first will still be firmly on the radar for upcoming needs.
If you value reliability, ownership, and seeing the direct impact of what you build every single morning, this is your lane.
Substantial on-site presence in Bala Cynwyd / Philadelphia is expected.
Early-morning start required (critical daily process begins around 7am).
