Job summary

Clean Chemistry in Longmont, CO is seeking a Database & IT Administrator to own SQL databases, manage infrastructure, and ensure security across cloud and on-premises systems. You will work closely with controls/SCADA engineers and support remote staff, developing SOPs and automations as needed.

The role requires 5+ years in IT and systems management, 3+ years with SQL cloud databases, strong PowerShell/Visual Studio Code skills, and a collaborative, startup-ready mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years configuring, maintaining, and securing SQL cloud databases.
• Minimum 5 years IT and systems management experience.
• Experience with scripting, Visual Code and PowerShell.
• Ability to work with engineers and scientists in a startup environment.
• Familiar with G-Suite including Docs, Slides and Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, monitor, and maintain Clean Chemistry SQL databases including controlling user permissions and access.
• Utilize PowerShell scripts as needed for cloud & infrastructure management.
• Manage cloud based file storage (G-Suite), maintaining organization, training new employees, minimizing duplication and assuring appropriate cross functional access to documents and files
• Manage company inventory and access to software
• Help research and troubleshoot all hardware and software issues
• Document and maintain Clean Chemistry code in GitHub.
• Manage company hardware inventory including computers, modems, and edge devices.
• Provide IT support for local and remote Clean Chemistry employees.
• Acquire and set up new computers for new hires
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to commonly used processes so that any high level employee can perform the tasks as needed
• Research and develop automation solutions in conjunction with the Programmer / Data Analyst on an as needed basis
• Research, propose and implement new software and hardware as needed to improve process flow
• Monitor networks for cybersecurity threats.
• Work with outside vendors to maintain quality of company webpages
• Manage user creation and deletion in key software subscription programs
• Other IT as required

About The Role

The Database and IT Administrator is responsible for creation and maintenance of Clean Chemistry’s SQL databases and overseeing Clean Chemistry’s technology infrastructure including hardware, software, and networks. This is a full-time position for a well-rounded, creative IT professional with prior experience in both database administration and IT management. The person in this role will be directly involved with the development of Clean Chemistry water treatment equipment. This role works directly with Clean Chemistry controls and SCADA engineers to maintain and further develop the hardware and software that enables our water treatment technology. As part of IT administration this role will also be a member of the cybersecurity team and will participate in setting policies, data protection, and monitoring networks for security threats.

Requirements
