Database Engineering Manager

Location: Irvine, CA
Employment type: Full‑time (onsite 2 days per week)

Base Pay Range

USD 130,000.00/yr – 160,000.00/yr (actual pay based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small analytics engineering team, owning delivery of dashboards, reporting, and data models.
• Own data warehouse architecture, schema design, and modeling decisions to ensure scalable, reliable analytics.
• Partner with software engineering on ETL/ELT pipelines, integrations, and source system changes.
• Optimize data performance, pipeline reliability, and storage costs while maintaining security and stability.
• Establish standards for data quality, governance, access controls, and documentation across the data platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with hands‑on technical ownership.
• 2+ years of experience managing or technically leading analysts or engineers.
• Deep expertise in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake or Azure Data Warehouse) and advanced SQL.
• Experience integrating and reporting on Salesforce Sales Cloud data, including custom objects and relationships.
• Strong background in ETL/ELT tools, BI platforms, and data governance within regulated environments.
