Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Database Administrator for the Department of Defense (DoD) DMDC Enterprise Law Enforcement Support Services (ELEs2) program. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, building, analyzing, evaluating, and installing database management systems, including database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata, and repository creation and configuration management. You will perform database administration support tasks such as installation, configuration, capacity planning, monitoring, patching, upgrades, backups, restores, performance optimization, maintenance, setup, and responding to alerts from monitoring tools, including disaster recovery (DR). You will also ensure STIGs compliance by applying patches as needed.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate, and install database management systems, including database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata, and repository creation and configuration management.
  • Utilize data mapping, data mining, and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
  • Determine data storage requirements and optimize storage solutions.
  • Prepare system requirements, source analysis, process analyses, and design throughout the database implementation lifecycle.
  • Evaluate, size, and select technology components such as software, hardware, and networking capabilities for database management systems and application databases.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability. Implement comprehensive backup and database replication solutions.
Qualifications
  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
  • Must have interim TS clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Experience with development and maintenance of complex PL/SQL procedures and scripts spanning multiple databases
  • Security+: certification required
  • IAT III Certification (must have one of the following: CISSP, CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP)
  • Database platform certification (Oracle certification preferred)

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This range is based on experience and other factors.
