Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is offering a Database Engineer internship to work with senior mentors and gain hands-on experience with databases including Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, and NoSQL.

This full-time internship lasts about four months, with hours roughly 8:00am–5:00pm, at the Riverton, UT office; remote and hybrid options are available to accommodate students and new graduates.

Qualifications

• You should be currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited college or university (you must start within one year of your grad date).
• Aptitude to learn database systems
• Technology background is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Migration of databases from on-premises to cloud database solutions
• Compile reports on implementation and data
• Monitor processes and makes recommendations for efficiency and accuracy
• Craft management reports to communicate status
• Seeks opportunities to improve processes
• Work with state-of-the art tools to help support enterprise database solutions
• Mentor with highly experienced IT professionals
