Job summary

A technology consulting firm is seeking a Database Engineer in Linthicum, Maryland. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance and involves database design, development, and management using MongoDB and MariaDB. Candidates should have experience in Python, Django, and Flask, and be able to create ReST endpoints and microservices. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years applicable professional experience in database engineering.
• Experience in deployment and management of MongoDB or MariaDB databases.
• Skills in debugging optimization issues and scaling databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval.
• Develop and maintain database structures fitting into overall system architecture.
• Create new workflows, and provide break/fix requests or updates.
• Lead development of database structures, database parser software, and database loading software.
• Support development and testing of various Python-based ReST endpoints and microservices.
