Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking a Database Engineer to own the health, performance, and security of PostgreSQL and Oracle databases powering critical systems. You will work with the software team to optimize data modeling, storage, and access, and to ensure high availability. Role is hybrid in Woodridge, IL with 3 onsite days and 2 remote days after onboarding.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or have a green card and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have degree and be able to work in a Linux environment
• Experience administering PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
• Ability to write optimized SQL and PL/SQL code and tune queries

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and monitor PostgreSQL and Oracle databases for performance, security, and reliability
• Write/optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries and stored procedures
• Support data modeling, schema design, and integration with backend systems

Database Engineer / PostgreSQL & Oracle Database Administrator, 26-15026

Our client is looking for a Database Engineer to become the backbone of their data infrastructure. This role blends hands‑on database administration with real SQL and PL/SQL development, giving you ownership over the health, performance, and security of PostgreSQL and Oracle databases that power mission‑critical systems relied on every day. You'll work closely with the software development team, helping shape how data is modeled, stored, secured, and optimized for the long haul, all while playing a direct role in keeping essential systems running smoothly.

Location: Woodridge, IL

Status: Hybrid – 3 onsite, 2 WFH after onboarding period

Compensation range: $105,000 - $115,000

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support data modeling, schema design, and integration with backend systems

About You

• Experience with EnterpriseDB (EDB) tools or EDB Failover Manager is a plus


• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder, and this role requires successful completion of a background check and drug test
