Quevera in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Database Engineer focused on MongoDB who holds an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. You will design, implement, and optimize database structures and data flows to support the Secure the Enterprise program.

The role spans developing Python-based REST endpoints with Django or Flask, integrating MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, and delivering JSON to UI front ends while advancing automation and monitoring across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Database Engineering experience in a similar scope.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; degree may be substituted with 5 years DBE experience.
• Experience with MongoDB deployment, debugging, and scaling.
• Strong Python REST endpoints development with Django or Flask.

Job Description:

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer – MongoDB with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support the Secure the Enterprise initiative in Linthicum, Maryland.

As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, you will help develop capabilities to shift the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.

In this role, you will provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis.
• Develop or maintain database structures to fit within the overall architecture of the system.
• Create new workflows to take over existing processes as needed and provide break/fix requests or updates.
• Lead development of database structures, database parser software, and database loading software.
• Support the development and testing of Python-based REST endpoints, microservices, and data model management capabilities utilizing Django and Flask frameworks.
• Support capabilities that interact with MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL data models and send requested data in JSON format to UI front ends.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Five (5) years of experience as a Database Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) years of Database Engineering experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
• Experience using MongoDB, including:
  • Deployment and management of the database.
  • Debugging optimization issues.
  • Scaling.

Desired Skills:

• Python.
