Job summary

The Josef Group is seeking a Database Engineer III for an Annapolis Junction, MD assignment requiring TS/SCI and Full Scope Poly. You will architect and implement database solutions, optimize data flows, and ensure secure data storage and retrieval within our complex systems.

The role emphasizes developing relational or OO databases, building parser software, and designing scalable structures that balance performance, volume, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of experience or high school degree with 15 years of experience.
• Experience installing, configuring, and optimizing NiFi standalone instances and clusters.
• Experience with Linux.
• Building and monitoring data flows.
• Ability to create and maintain system documentation, SSPs, and SOPs.

Responsibilities

Develops relational and/or Object-Oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software. Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design. Responsible for developing a database structure that fits into the overall architecture of the system under development and must make trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security, and domain controls.

Requirements:

Bachelors + 10 years experience Or High School + 15 years experience. Experience installing, configuring, and optimizing NiFi standalone instances and clusters, Experience with Linux, Building and monitoring of data flows, Comfortable creating and maintaining system documentation, SSPs, and SOPs.
