Job summary

Techiva Inc is seeking a candidate for a 6-month contract position focused on data management and reporting in Mount Laurel Township, New Jersey. Ideal candidates will have strong SQL expertise and experience with ETL processes, alongside scripting skills in Perl or Python.

The role involves creating utilization reports, managing an SQL database for Video capacity data, and ensuring best practices in data management.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL expertise for database management and reporting.
• Experience with ETL processes for data transformation and loading.
• Familiarity with various monitoring and reporting tools.
• Proficient in scripting languages, preferably Perl and Python.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-group collaboration.
• Experience in data mining and formatting.
• Any development background, particularly in DB development, is a plus.

Job Description

• Create Weekly/Monthly utilization reports to be presented to management and key personnel at the divisions and markets
• Collect, warehouse and maintain integrity of Video capacity and utilization data in an SQL database along with the ability to push data to divisional databases
• Support creation of ad hoc capacity reports and analysis for Comcast senior executives
• Use scripting languages like VB Script, Perl, Python to automate data collection and aggregation from hundreds of Video devices
• Come up to speed on current reports, new report automation, database tools and techniques as needed
• Manage and scale weekly and monthly data on a SQL database to as the size and complexity of Video capacity utilization reports grow
• Ensure that Video data is managed in accordance with the best practices outlined by the Capacity Planning team

Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• SQL expertise, tables, queries, etc.
• ETL skills - will be transforming and loading tons of data
• Monitoring & Reporting tools - doesnt matter which ones as long as they have a background with this
• Scripting experience - Perl, python is preferred
• Excellent Communication Skills, will be doing lots of cross group work and need to be able to speak up and work well with team
• Data mining, scraping, formatting
• Any development background is a big plus especially DB development
