The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a Database Engineer to help shape the core infrastructure of our platform as they scale. What You’ll Do

• Optimize database queries and schema for high performance in a multi-tenant environment
• Partner with engineering teams to implement data-driven features
• Automate key processes for efficiency and reliability
• Contribute to the evolution of our data architecture
• Investigate and resolve issues through root cause analysis
• Manage tasks and deadlines independently
• Communicate actively with team members and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

You have a strong foundation in database concepts, SQL, and software development, and you're eager to continue learning and growing. You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but curiosity and a desire to improve are essential.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL (especially PostgreSQL)
• Ability to read and analyze query plans
• Understanding of algorithmic complexity (Big O notation)
• Basic Python skills
• Familiarity with Git
• Clear communication and documentation skills

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Django or other ORMs
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Examples of automation you’ve delivered
• Experience with DBA tasks like performance tuning, migrations, and backups
