As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Banking Payment Technology Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

**Job responsibilities**

+ Design and implement database solutions based on business requirements.

+ Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.

+ Ensure data integrity and security across all database systems.

+ Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications.

+ Monitor database performance and make necessary improvements.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

+ Create and maintain documentation related to database design and development.

+ Perform regular database backups and recovery operations.

+ Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices.

+ Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**

+ Formal training or certification on software engineering c oncepts and 5+ years applied experience

+ Proven experience as a Database Developer

+ Strong knowledge of leading the end-to-end migration of data from WPI to iAccess **(a must)**

+ Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).

+ Proficiency in SQL and experience with database design and development.

+ Familiarity with data modeling and database design concepts.

+ Experience with performance tuning and optimization.

+ Knowledge of data security and privacy practices.

+ Customer focus, Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills and attention to detail.

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills.

+ Ability to work independently, plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**

+ Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).

+ Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

+ Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
