Role Overview

As a Database Developer, you will design, develop, and optimize database objects and queries supporting enterprise applications and data workflows. You will build stored procedures, triggers, and performance-tuned SQL solutions while partnering with analysts, engineers, and integration teams to ensure data accuracy, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain database solutions to support enterprise applications and reporting needs
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and database objects
  • Build and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support automation and workflows
  • Support database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring high availability and data integrity
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support integrations and data movement across systems
  • Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices for database change management
  • Document database designs, objects, and implementation standards
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in database development
  • Strong SQL development skills and experience building database objects for enterprise use
  • Experience supporting production environments with a focus on reliability and performance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL
  • Strong experience with:
    • Stored procedures
    • Triggers
    • Performance optimization and tuning
    • Familiarity with database design principles and best practices for scalable development
Work Authorization & Eligibility Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be eligible for and capable of obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance
  • Must be currently residing in the United States
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally to Washington, DC for in-person meetings
