Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Database Developer Principal to join a large-scale National Intelligence program. You will design and develop database schemas, support Linux and Windows databases, ensure security and recovery procedures, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet service quality and customer needs.

The role requires Top Secret SCI + Polygraph clearance, US citizenship, and 5+ years in database development. Onsite in Herndon, VA with less than 10% travel.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with poly and US citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Design and develop database schemas and objects by interpreting data models, creating logical/physical structures using standard diagramming techniques, and implementing/troubleshooting database code and changes
• Support operation of complex relational databases across Linux and Windows environments
• Apply database security requirements and contribute to documented backup and recovery procedures; analyzes complex data and performance issues using logic, pattern recognition, and cost/benefit tradeoffs to deliver effective solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet service quality standards and customer needs.

The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
