What are we looking for in our Database Developer IV?

Senior Database Developer

Location: Carrollton, TX (remote with on-site visits as needed)

Contract Duration: 6+ months

Pay Range: $60 to $70/hr on W2 (depends on experience)

Requires SQL Server and Couchbase experience.

Position Summary

Under general direction, responsible for developing, installing, and maintaining systems software.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex SQL Server databases and solutions.
• Apply best practices for database schema design, normalization, denormalization, and data partitioning.
• Write and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Analyze database performance and optimize accordingly.
• Implement indexing strategies and caching mechanisms.
• Design Couchbase data models, document structures, and indexes.
• Develop and maintain application design and specifications.
• Collaborate with management on project status and requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree or related experience, with 5+ years of development experience. Extensive SQL Server experience required; Couchbase and .NET are pluses.
