Title: Database Developer (Contingent) - Remote

About this position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing data mapping, data quality management, metadata management, and master data management, as well as conducting in-depth data analysis to inform and progress our current and future data operating models. The Database Developer will play a critical role in shaping our data architecture and ensuring the integrity and quality of our data assets.

Salary Range: 115k-135k - commensurate with the candidate's skills, experience, location, and qualifications.

Experience Levels:

  • Database Administrator III: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Database Administrator IV: 5-8 years of relevant experience.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  1. Analyze the exception processing & make modifications to handle microservices exceptions.
  2. Help design & review data structure to identify subject processors that have been migrated to microservices.
  3. Help design restful wrapper for subject processes by implementing tests & developing code.
  4. Refactor data access layer to use JPA (move data services to the Java persistence API (JPA)).
  5. Refactor data access layer code to use JPA (annotate & change CRUD patterns).

Required Education/Qualifications:

  • Clearance: MUST be fully adjudicated & maintain a secret security clearance or higher.
  • Associate/bachelor's degree.
  • Certifications: Security+ Certification required.
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle 12c/19c Database environments.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Experience in developing, refactoring PL/SQL code (Packages, Procedures & Triggers).
  • Familiar with backend database code testing & validation.
  • Familiar with Oracle Forms & Oracle Reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Backend Testing & Validation - Experience in testing and validating backend database code.
  • Oracle Forms & Reporting Tools - Familiarity with Oracle Forms and Oracle Reporting tools.
  • TSA Architecture Updates - Collaborate with the Architect to refine Target State Architecture (TSA).
