Job summary

Cloud Brite Systems India Private Limited is seeking a highly experienced Database Architect (Snowflake) to own the Snowflake data foundation. You will design the target-state architecture, enforce governance, and optimize performance across on-premise and cloud sources.

Remote/hybrid role in the US with occasional in-person meetings. You will lead ingestion pipelines with Snowpipe/Streams/Tasks, implement secure data sharing, and collaborate with MuleSoft and Data Engineering teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of enterprise data architecture experience, including 3+ years on Snowflake.
• SnowPro Core certification required; SnowPro Advanced Architect preferred.
• Experience implementing governance and security controls in regulated environments (FISMA/NIST).
• Hands-on with dbt, Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks for orchestration.
• Federal contracting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design the target-state Snowflake architecture and data model for consolidating on-premise and cloud data sources.
• Define governance and security controls: RBAC, dynamic data masking, row-level security, data lineage.
• Lead performance and cost engineering: warehouse right-sizing, clustering, materialized views.
• Review multi-source ingestion pipelines (Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks, dbt).
• Collaborate on Snowpark-based in-platform transformations with Engineering teams.
• Create secure data sharing and REST API enablement for MuleSoft.

The Database Architect is the technical authority for Snowflakedata foundation: architecture, data modeling, governance, and performanceengineering. This role sets the standards that the Data Engineer and DataScientist roles build against, ensuring the platform stays secure, performant,and cost-disciplined as data volumes and use cases grow.

Responsibilities

• Design the target-state Snowflake architecture and data model forconsolidating on-premise and cloud data sources.
• Define and enforce governance and security controls: role-based accesscontrol, dynamic data masking, row-level security, data lineage, and catalogingaligned to FISMA and NIST SP 800-53.
• Lead performance and cost engineering: warehouse right-sizing,clustering, materialized views, and workload isolation.
• Set standards and review designs for the multi-source ingestionpipelines (Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks, dbt) built by the Data Engineeringteam.
• Partner with the Integration Engineers on the Snowpark in-platformtransformation approach that eliminates redundant data movement.
• Serve as designated Key Personnel and be available for interviewprior to award.
• Design MuleSoft ingestion patterns using Snowpipe, Streams & Tasksand staging tables.
• Implement Secure Data Sharing, External Functions and REST APIenablement for MuleSoft consumption.
• Implement secure views, Dynamic Data Masking and Row-LevelSecurity.
• Design S3 External Stages and AWS KMS encryption patterns.
• Define staging formats including Parquet, JSON and ORC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a relatedfield.
• 8+ years of enterprise data architecture experience, including 3+ yearsfocused specifically on Snowflake.
• SnowPro Core certification required; SnowPro Advanced Architectcertification strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience implementing governance and security controls ina regulated or federal environment (FISMA/NIST 800-53).
• Hands-on experience with dbt, Snowpipe, and Streams and Tasks forpipeline orchestration.
• Federal contracting experience preferred.
