Job summary

A consulting firm based in San Diego is seeking a Database Administrator to design strategies for enterprise databases and data warehouse systems. The role involves setting standards for database operations and ensuring cybersecurity compliance. An ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in database administration and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. This position requires a Secret security clearance and involves mostly on-site work.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in database administration or design for Journeyman position.
• 10+ years of experience in database engineering and architecture for Senior position.
• Must hold a Secret security clearance and be a US Citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field.
• On-site position with <5% travel.
• Contract pending award.

Job description

Job Description and Responsibilities:

Design strategies for enterprise databases, data warehouse systems, and multidimensional networks. Set standards for database operations, programming, query processes, and security. Model, design, and construct large relational databases or data warehouses. Create and optimize data models for warehouse infrastructure and workflow. Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality.

• Develop and manage large-scale database architectures and data warehouses.
• Establish data standards and security controls in compliance with DoD CUI protocols.
• Integrate multiple data systems for reporting and analysis.
• Support system accreditation and cybersecurity documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and network teams to enhance performance.

Basic Requirements:

A Journeyman has 6+ years of experience in database administration or design. A Senior has 10+ years of experience in database engineering and architecture.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Security Clearance:

Secret (must be a US Citizen)

Telework and Travel:

On-Site, <5% Travel

Contract:
