Job Title: Database Architect III - Postgres

Clearance Required: Public Trust - Federal Client requires US Citizenship

Work Location: Remote, Arlington, VA

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Database Architect III - Postgres for a remote position on a Federal program in Arlington, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, create, and manage large-scale databases to store and organize vast digital information, ensuring efficiency, security, and performance.
2. Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL database systems and infrastructure.
3. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
4. Conduct root cause analysis and post-mortems.
5. Develop enterprise data architecture principles.
6. Create domain-specific architecture patterns as required.
7. Govern projects to adhere to standards and architecture.
8. Collaborate with analysts, vendors, and stakeholders on data strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• US Citizenship is required for Federal Client projects.
• At least 7 years' experience with PostgreSQL architecture.
• 7+ years' experience as a Data Architect.
• Advanced knowledge of networking, data warehousing, and relational databases.
• Strong analytical, planning, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience with DevOps tools like GitHub ES.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud monitoring and operational tools.
• Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Storage, and Monitoring.
• Ability to ensure SLA and KPI compliance and coordinate support during incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an agile environment as part of a product team.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range is approximately $91,590 - $130,000, based on experience, skills, certifications, and education. Benefits include PTO, holidays, health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, and professional development reimbursement.
