Job summary

New Wave People, Inc. is seeking a data professional to gather statistics on fare evasion, compile and review records, and analyze data under the Director Data Information and Analysis.

You will turn datasets into actionable insights using SQL and Python. Responsibilities include integrating data from databases, spreadsheets, and clouds, building reports and dashboards, ensuring data confidentiality, and collaborating with analysts and engineers to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or related field.
• Solid experience with relational databases.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• 4+ years of experience in Reporting and Dashboards.
• 4+ years in database technologies with strong writing skills.
• Power BI Data Analyst certification preferred.
• Experience in transportation/railroad industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Data gathering of statistics on fare evasion occurrences.
• Compiling and reviewing records using company interfaces.
• Data analysis and presenting data under the Director Data Information and Analysis.
• Connect and integrate data from databases, spreadsheets, relational databases, and cloud services into synchronized datasets.
• Clean and organize data for reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide data insight.
• Identify areas of system optimization based on business processes.
• Follow data security measures and comply with data protection regulations.
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation for data models and reporting specifications.
