NS2 Mission in Chantilly, VA seeks a Database Administrator to maintain enterprise database environments supporting Intelligence Community customers. You will collaborate with engineers, developers, and system administrators to optimize databases, ensure availability, and implement scalable solutions aligned with mission needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and hands-on experience in production database environments, performance tuning, backups, and recovery, with a TS/SCI clearance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/IS/Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience administering enterprise database environments in production.
• Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of database installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting server infrastructure, storage systems, and OS environments.
• Familiarity with optimization techniques, query tuning, and configuration management.

Responsabilidades

• Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise database environments for optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
• Monitor database/server performance, analyze metrics, and implement tuning and capacity planning.
• Perform backups, restores, archiving, and recovery activities to protect data integrity.
• Install, configure, and maintain database platforms, storage, OS, and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot database, server, hardware, and software issues and provide timely support.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to implement enhancements and upgrades.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
