Job Responsibilities
  • Perform all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.
  • Design, create, and maintain complex databases in a client/server environment, supporting high-availability systems.
  • Project long-range requirements for database capacity, performance, and security in coordination with enterprise IT planning.
  • Conduct quality control, auditing, and performance tuning of databases to ensure optimal operation and integrity of data.
  • Provide guidance to users on data access protocols, security permissions, and performance improvement.
  • Implement database solutions including schema design, access methods, validation, security, documentation, and statistical methods.
  • Support integration of systems and applications through sound database design principles.
  • Apply experience in database programming languages such as SQL and scripting for front-end/back-end integration.
  • Maintain database dictionaries and metadata repositories and ensure enforcement of database standards and procedures.
  • Work with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity teams to ensure database compliance with applicable DOD and DLA standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience of database query languages such as Oracle, PL SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access
  • Three (3) years of hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems
  • Experience also shall include the ability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages
  • Experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer database
  • Certifications:
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II (One of the Following):
  • SSCP
  • CySA+
  • GICSP
  • GSEC
  • Security+ CE
  • CASP+ CE
  • CCNP Security
  • CISA
