The role includes implementing DISA STIGs, assisting RMF/ATO activities, and applying IAVA patches while working with ISSOs to ensure secure, compliant databases in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of Database Administration experience.
• Experience with Oracle Database Administration.
• Experience applying Oracle CPU patches and IAVA patches.
• Experience with Linux security in Oracle environments.
• Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software.

Responsibilities

Join WOOD Federal Solutions as a Database Administrator supporting a large, complex, mission‑focused operational environment where database performance, security, and reliability are critical. This role is ideal for an experienced DBA who can operate confidently across enterprise database platforms while also supporting rigorous security and compliance requirements. You will work with technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB, helping maintain secure, highly available database environments through patching, vulnerability remediation, recovery support, scripting, and performance‑focused administration. The role also includes implementing and maintaining DISA STIGs, reviewing SRG requirements, supporting RMF and ATO activities, managing IAVA‑related updates, and collaborating with ISSOs and technical teams to resolve security and operational issues. This position offers the opportunity to combine deep database administration expertise with hands‑on security responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment. You will troubleshoot complex database issues, perform recovery actions, develop and modify scripts, execute SQL and PL/SQL queries, and help ensure database platforms remain secure, compliant, stable, and ready to support mission needs. Security Clearance Requirements: This position requires candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance with an appropriate Polygraph. Responsibilities * Implement and maintain DISA STIGs for platforms Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra and/or MONGO DB.

• Perform vulnerability scans, analyze findings, and remediate security weaknesses.
• Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and contribute to Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
• Conduct routine security readiness reviews and document Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) items.
• Collaborate with Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) to validate and report compliance.
• Review database SRG and/or STIGs as updates are released, and report changes with the potential to have significant impact.
• Determine the impact and risk of submitted change requests prior to implementation and participate in meetings to provide cyber oversight for web changes that affect the level of risk.
• Perform system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database problems.
• Perform database recovery actions.
• Modify existing database scripts to enhance systems support and create new database scripts for recurring database issues.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications * Must have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Database Administrator. Must have at least 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experience. In‑depth experience implementing and maintaining database security controls. In‑depth experience applying Oracle CPU patches, IAVA patches, and other database products. In‑depth experience with Linux security as it relates to Oracle databases. In‑depth experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems and issues. Must have hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software. Must have experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQL.

Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in technical discipline and at least eight (8) years of relevant experience.

• Experience with real‑time, highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle GoldenGate, Sybase Replication Server.
• Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and/or as a member of an Agile team.
• Extensive, in‑depth knowledge of databases, with primary focus on Oracle and other relational and non‑relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general.
• Experience with MongoDB and/or Cassandra.
