Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, we want you to join our diverse team as a Database Administrator Level 2/3 located in Palmdale, CA.

The selected candidate will implement and maintain smooth operation and physical design of databases. Responsibilities include:

1. Conducting performance tuning of indexes and databases.
2. Reviewing database design and integration of systems.
3. Providing backup recovery and making recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
4. Maintaining security and integrity controls.
5. Formulating policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management.
6. Monitoring transaction activity and utilization.
7. Developing stored procedures and/or triggers.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Level 2: High school diploma or equivalent and 6 years experience; or Bachelor's and 2 years experience; or Master's and 0 years experience.
2. Level 3: High school diploma or equivalent and 9 years experience; or Bachelor's and 5 years experience; or Master's and 3 years experience; or PhD and 1 year experience.
3. Experience with Oracle Database.
4. Experience working with PL/SQL.
5. Experience with MS Access-based applications and VBA.
6. Willingness to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends.
7. Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance and be able to maintain that clearance.
8. Ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Top Secret Clearance.
2. Experience with Oracle in Windows environments.
3. Experience with Sunflower Asset Management Database.
4. Experience with the installation, configuration, and upgrading Oracle databases.
5. Familiarity with Python, PERL, and/or Java a plus.
6. Security+ Certification.

Salary Range: $79,300 - $118,900
Salary Range 2: $97,500 - $146,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
