Job Description
Scope of Services
The DBA team isresponsible for ensuring the application and processing architectures, datadictionaries, and database schemas meet the department standards for datarequirements. The candidate in this position will be responsible forassisting in the design, development, amendments and optimization of theschema to meet system(s) requirements. The candidate must be able tounderstand and demonstrate the ability to develop database and warehousingdesign across multiple platforms and computing environments. The candidatemust be able to work as part of a team to assist in developing an overalldata architecture that supports the Department’s needs and meets Departmentand Agency for State Technology (AST) security standards.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalentwork experience.
Experience
- SQL Server 2008R2,2012
- Oracle 10g andabove
- Experience with the FDOT integrated database infrastructure is a plus.
- Knowledge of the FDOT Financial Management applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of the FDOT integrated application environment is a plus
Primary Job Duties/Tasks
- Daily operationaland database administration activities
- Conduct databaseperformance monitoring and tuning
- Develop andmaintain database administration procedures and documentation
