Job summary

LivTech is creating a dedicated Database Administrator role to own the design, security, and performance of the databases behind all 26 products across our three business divisions. Today, no single function owns database health enterprise-wide — you'll close that gap, working across divisional engineering teams to raise the bar on reliability, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of production database administration and on-call support.
• Hands-on with MySQL, Postgres, or MS SQL Server.
• Certifications such as Azure Database Administrator Associate are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor, and optimize databases for all products across divisions.
• Plan backups, disaster-recovery, and storage structures for production DBs.
• Proactively monitor health, security, and performance; tune systems ahead of issues.
• Establish database standards, configuration, and documentation across divisions.
• Manage patching, capacity planning, and access controls to reduce risks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to minimize downtime and troubleshoot DB problems.
