Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington, DC is seeking a senior Oracle E-Business Suite database administrator to oversee EBS environments from development through production, ensuring performance, security, and data integrity. You will administer the Oracle E-Business Suite landscape, perform backups, patches, and REST API integrations, and coordinate with federal financial reporting cycles.

This role requires 8+ years of hands-on experience and proficiency with Oracle Analytics Server, Tungsten

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on Oracle E-Business Suite application experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
• Experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Analytics Server, Tungsten MarkView and Capture, REST APIs, ReactJS, and PIV-card Single Sign-On integrated with Azure.
• Experience authoring or maintaining Authority to Operate artifacts for a Federal financial system.
• Storage Area Network design, configuration, utilization monitoring, and redundancy experience.
• Direct database-side experience with specified federal financial interfaces.
• Experience using Oracle Projects or Oracle Projects accounting structures.
• Experience supporting federal financial reporting cycles from the database layer.
• Automation and scripting proficiency with Shell, Perl, or Python.
• E-Verify employment eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior database authority for NCFMS environments from Development through Production.
• Administer the full Oracle E-Business Suite landscape under a formal Instance Management Plan.
• Perform database backups, restores, instance overlays, refreshes, installations, configuration, security hardening, performance tuning, tablespace management, and data-integrity assurance.
• Maintain custom and core database tables in Development and Test environments.
• Run security scans and provide analysis and findings to customers.
• Size and optimize systems, track performance metrics, and manage capacity and availability.
• Monitor and manage business-critical nightly batch processing.
• Apply Oracle quarterly Critical Patch Updates and Patch Set Updates and brief the customer on releases.
• Support release and deployment plans, post-deployment monitoring, and stabilization.
• Administer Oracle middleware, application processes, SSL, and backup/media management.
• Support COOP and Disaster Recovery.
• Provide database-side support for internal and external interfaces.
• Serve as database subject matter expert for Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalations.
• Analyze and resolve vulnerabilities and close POA&M items.
• Provide database-tier evidence and technical input to ATO documentation.
• Enforce separation of duties, privileged-activity logging, access reviews, and internal audits.
• Prepare and present database and asset updates.
• Contribute to instance, configuration, patch, asset, and contingency management plans.
• Keep the NCFMS database tier available, fast, recoverable, patch-current, and audit-defensible so DOL financial operations and reporting deadlines are met.
