Job summary

Thompson Street Capital Partners in Oklahoma City seeks a Database Administrator to keep critical databases running 24/7, ensuring smooth data flow for both backend and end-user accessibility.

You will monitor production databases, perform upgrades, backups and restores, collaborate with developers on data modeling, and contribute to scalable, production-ready architecture. A Bachelor of Science in a related field is preferred, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Solid background in administrating and deploying a large-scale system.
• Strong communication skills with ability to push technical issues to resolution in a fast-paced environment.
• Day-to-day management activities of production databases for system operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, change management, upgrades & installs, backups, and restores.
• Design database architecture for large scale, production-quality services.
• Assist developers in application data modeling.
• Participation in daily stand-up discussions and iterative, ongoing database development work.
• Self-motivated with the ability to identify needed processes using best practices.

The database administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Duties and Responsibilities
