Job summary

Soft Tech Consulting, Inc. seeks a highly motivated Database Administrator to join a client-focused team in Washington, DC. The role involves managing Oracle and Postgres databases, patching, tuning, and ensuring secure configurations for federal guidelines.

The candidate should have 5+ years DBA experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels. This is a strictly onsite, client-facing position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
• Minimum 5 years of DBA experience.
• Experience administering Oracle or Postgres databases (ideally both).
• Experience with AWS/RDS/S3/DMS.
• Experience with Oracle/Postgres database patching and upgrades.
• Experience conducting performance tuning on Oracle/Postgres databases.
• Experience with backup/recovery tools such as RMAN and Flashback.
• Experience configuring databases to meet federal security guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Database Administratorfor one of our clients. The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress. The place of performance for this contract is in Washington, DC.
