Job summary

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases.

• Hands-on experience with High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup/Recovery, and Replication technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working directly with developers, project teams, and business users.
• Proven ability to document technical solutions and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Database Administrator in Brandon, FL / Lutz, FL.

Database Administrator (SQL Server / Oracle) - Hybrid

Location: Brandon, FL / Lutz, FL
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Extension Potential up to 18 Months+)
Rate: $79.31/hr
Schedule: 40 Hours per Week (Flexible)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Work Location

After an initial 4-week fully onsite training period, this position will transition to a hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite per week and additional onsite presence as needed.

The selected candidate will split time between:

• Brandon, FL

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join a team supporting an enterprise-wide database environment. The DBA will work alongside a team of five full-time DBAs and multiple contract resources, supporting both operational activities and strategic database modernization initiatives.

This role will serve as the primary DBA on new database deployments and will participate in enterprise projects focused on database performance, scalability, architecture, and modernization. The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure teams, developers, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to deliver robust database solutions.

Additional Information

• Flexible work schedule within a standard 40-hour workweek.
• Overtime may be available but is generally uncommon.
• Participation in on-call support may be required.
