Responsibilities include:

1. Applying all aspects of database administration including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migration, capacity planning, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
2. Providing 24x7 rotational on-call support, including root cause analysis and participation in weekly operations reviews.
3. Managing change processes across development, testing, QA, and production environments, including deploying approved changes.
4. Proactively monitoring databases and resolving issues.
5. Optimizing database performance and queries.
6. Participating in enterprise database system projects and design decisions.
7. Developing and implementing database security policies.
8. Evaluating and deploying patches and updates.
9. Supporting high availability architecture standards.
10. Maintaining documentation on database and data architecture.
11. Supporting data management solutions such as ETL, data archives, and purges.
12. Performing capacity planning and generating management reports.
13. Participating in project sizing and design reviews.
14. Performing other related duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements include:

• 5+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.
• Experience with SQL Server versions 2012-2016, with knowledge of upgrading to 2019 & 2022.
• Skills in database data management, backups, ETL, and archival using native tools.
• Proficiency with diagnostic and maintenance tools like DBCC, SQL Diag, SQL Profiler, and third-party tools.
• Knowledge of partitioning architecture, replication, mirroring, and security strategies.
• Experience collaborating with data warehousing developers and knowledge of BI tools (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SharePoint).
• Strong skills in T-SQL, PowerShell, tuning, debugging, and using SQL Server management tools.
• Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
