*Junior Database Administrator*

100% fully remote but must sit in EST time zone.

Conversion salary after 3 months: $80-90k

Only available for W2, no C2C please.

We are looking for an "experienced Jr. DBA". Someone with 2-5 years of experience. The more exposure to the following top skills, the better:

1. Exposure to Oracle database architecture and migration processes
2. An understanding of Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) for multi-node database environments.
3. SQL and PL/SQL proficiency for database queries and scripting

Description

• Data Pump: Exporting and importing data for migration and upgrades
• Managing users/roles, privileges, authentication
• Analyzing alert logs, trace files, and database errors to resolve issues.
• Exposure to patching Oracle Database patches.
• Configure GoldenGate for extract/pump/integrated replicat processes.
• Linux/Unix operating system knowledge for database management.
• Automating tasks using Unix scripts.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Communication skills to collaborate with teams and assist users.
• Attention to detail for database monitoring and maintenance.

The team consists of three superb DBAs who will mentor/train this person. We are an Oracle shop, so Oracle DB experience is the only true requirement. Everything else "the more, the better" and will differentiate candidates. Candidates will be interviewed by Adviser-level DBAs, so honesty about knowledge is encouraged.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
