Job description

At Schnellecke Logistics, we are committed to operational excellence through innovation, security, and strong infrastructure. We are currently seeking a Database Administrator to join our Information Technology team in Ladson.

Position Summary

The IT Specialist is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and proper functionality of Schnellecke IT resources and systems in compliance with corporate IT guidelines and standards. This role supports daily operations within the customer IT environment, serving as a key point of contact for coordinating IT requests and resolving incidents to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general help desk support to end users, including troubleshooting and maintaining client and end-point hardware such as computers, printers, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Manage applications for IT systems operated by Schnellecke, including user support, incident management, system customization, and ongoing optimization.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure management, including maintenance of the Schnellecke domain and network, administration of file servers, and ensuring compliance with IT security standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control of all Schnellecke and customer-owned IT assets, including computers, tablets, and cell phones.
  • Organize and manage work within the Schnellecke IT ticketing system, collaborating with 2nd Level Corporate IT support teams in Germany and Mexico as needed.
  • Administer customer-related IT systems (e.g., access management) and coordinate IT-related requests and incidents with customers and third-party service providers.
  • Complete additional assignments and projects as requested by the Manager, IT Region USA.
Qualifications
  • Technical Studies in IT or Engineering
  • Profound knowledge of computer and network hardware
  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft Windows and iOS operating systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (Visual Basic preferred)
Physical & Compliance Requirements
  • Ability to sit/stand for up to 10-hour shifts
  • Ability to walk up to one mile to and from the job site
  • Must complete company training and wear required PPE
