Job summary

Schnellecke Logistics USA in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Warehouse Operations Leader to analyze processes, identify gaps that cause inventory discrepancies, and outline executable countermeasures to improve accuracy and efficiency.

You will conduct root cause investigations for inventory and shipping discrepancies, ensure compliance with SOPs, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safe, productive work environments for warehouse staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years logistics/operations leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with inventory and cycle counts.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving and dispatch processes.
  • Shop floor management experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Timely and quality processing of materials and records.
  • Filing and archiving of applicable paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze processes to identify gaps causing inventory discrepancies and outline countermeasures.
  • Perform root cause investigations for inventory and shipping discrepancies.
  • Execute organizational mission, strategy, policies and standards.
  • Apply core business technologies and central procedures to responsibilities.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to create efficient procedures.
  • Ensure warehouse personnel comply with SOPs and policies.
  • Manage resources to support production plan requirements.
  • Direct processes to meet service level agreements with the client.
  • Validate action plans to achieve quality limits.
  • Communicate with Schnellecke Logistics and client management.
  • Foster a safe work environment.
  • Follow safety rules at all times.
  • Participate in scheduled inventory days and ensure leadership coverage.
  • Develop and manage early warning indicators (EWI’s) and KPI’s.
  • Handle miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

  • Execute the mission, strategy, policies, and standards of the organization, to achieve the vision of Schnellecke Logistics.
  • Apply the Core Business Technologies and/or central procedures to the area of responsibility, to ensure the use of best practices in Schnellecke Logistics.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes in their area, in order to create more solid and efficient procedures.
  • Ensures all warehouse personnel comply with standard operating procedures, personnel policies and workload demands.
  • Manage the resources (human, material and automated) in the operational areas in order to support the requirements of the production plan.
  • Direct processes within the business unit in order to meet goals of operation service level agreements with the client.
  • Validate the plans of action of the operation to achieve the quality limits defined in the business unit.
  • Communication to Schnellecke Logistics and client management.
  • Continuous focus on fostering a safe work environment.
  • Practices safe work procedures and follows all safety rules at all times.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work in a plant and office environment.
  • Must be able to be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment and vibration, wet and humid weather conditions.
  • Exposure to occasionally loud noise levels.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. Bending and/or reaching may be required.
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on Shop Floor to prevent injury to self or others.
