We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. This role includes planning, development, and troubleshooting, as well as ensuring data remains consistent and is clearly defined, accessible, and recoverable in case of failure.
Location: Houston, Texas
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database software.
Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency.
Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across all database environments.
Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
Design and implement database structures, schemas, tables, and dictionaries.
Perform regular tests and evaluations to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
Collaborate with developers and system administrators to support business applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
Familiarity with database automation tools and DevOps practices.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) are a plus.
