Vickers and Nolan Enterprises (VNE) is seeking a TS/SCI Cleared Data Warehousing Specialist at the Journeyman level in the National Capital Region, VA. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–15 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in agile software development and data systems.

The candidate will design, modify, develop, and implement software applications using modern technologies (Kafka, Kubernetes, Java, Python, SQL, API development) and work across backend and frontend

Qualifications

Experience: 3-15 years of relevant experience.
5+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods.
5+ years of software development with programming languages, technologies, tools, and web architecture knowledge.
Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products.
Experience writing source code for new applications or enhancing code samples for existing applications.
Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Git, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, and API Development.
Experience using back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions with API implementation.
Experience solving complex problems in cross-functional teams.
Broad assignments requiring originality and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: 3-15 years of relevant experience.
5+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods
5+ years of experience in software development with programming languages, technologies, tools, and web architecture and application knowledge
Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products
Experience writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications
Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Git, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, and API Development
Experience using back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions as well as a robust API implementation knowledge
Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
Operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
TS/SCI level Clearance required.

Additional Qualifications

Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.

Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

Essential Duties of the Job

Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.

Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face
