ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Data Warehouse Technical Lead, you will oversee and guide the data team, leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies to design and implement next-generation data pipelines, analytics, and BI platforms. These solutions will support our comprehensive suite of learning and selection applications, ensuring the delivery of top-tier technology to drive success across our systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists to deliver world-class data solutions.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the data team.
• Data Infrastructure Development:
• Architect, design, and implement a robust Data Warehouse and Data Lake.
• Build and maintain scalable, near-real-time data pipelines and workflows.
• Develop end-to-end BI solutions, including data modelling, visualization, and ETL processes.
• Data Quality and Security:
• Ensure the highest standards of data security, quality, and compliance across systems.
• Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance data accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Support:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver on data requirements.
• Partner with product and project managers to align data solutions with business goals.
• Innovation and Standards:
• Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies, driving their adoption to enhance our data infrastructure.
• Maintain and enforce coding standards, best practices, and efficient delivery processes.

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of experience in data warehousing, including ETL architecture and development.
• 5+ years of experience as a technical lead or architect in data teams.
• Expertise in architecting and managing large-scale Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
• Proficiency in SQL, relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift), and dimensional data modelling.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with modern data tools such as DBT, AWS Glue, and S3.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in data storytelling through visualisations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience working with external APIs for data extraction and integration.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, PySpark, or similar programming languages.
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams and remote projects.
